All-Star Game a Warmup for PCA and Cubs

By Susan Abbott Gidel

As a legit card-carrying Die-Hard Cubs Fan, I have a vested interest in the following analysis. So, as we say in the financial industry, I am talking my position.

I’ve been going to Cubs games as a season-ticket holder since 1985—yes, 40 years. I can count true standouts on one hand. The “Sandberg Game” in 1984 when I was in the bleachers (and have the scorecard to prove it). A 2-hour game with Greg Maddox on the mound. The entire 2016 season. The 2016 World Series Game 3 that I watched from our regular seats just up from first base. I say with all seriousness that I can die happy because I saw a World Series game at Wrigley Field.

And, now my one hand is full as I watch Pete Crow-Armstrong (aka PCA) do phenomenal things in centerfield, on the base paths and at the plate. He’s just plain fun to watch (especially in person, but also on TV). At 23 years old, PCA is not only playing, but starting, in tonight’s All-Star game as the top fan vote-getter at his position.

PCA Jupiter Return on July 8

Astrologically, PCA’s success this year is not surprising. He experienced his second Jupiter return just a week ago, on July 8 (Chart 1, A). Jupiter is the planet that bestows success, abundance and optimism. PCA’s Jupiter is in its most-favorite sign of Cancer, where it can simply snap its fingers and whatever it wants appears.

So, for starters, PCA has a great Jupiter that will be with him throughout life. But, right now, at his Jupiter return (where transiting Jupiter comes back to where it was at birth), it signals a stepping up to a new level of growth and success for the next 12 years. Enter tonight’s All-Star Game, right on cue.

As for the game itself, PCA should have a good one. Transiting Mars trines natal Mars (Chart 1, B) for high energy and self-confidence. Transiting Venus conjunct natal Saturn (Chart 1, C) provides the ability to learn from his elders and establish long-term relationships. Finally, the transiting Sun squares natal Venus (Chart 1, D) for just pure enjoyment.

The World Series Elephant in the Room

Sure, the Cubs are having a pretty good season so far. But, are they World Series bound? Based on what I see in PCA’s horoscope chart, I’ve told my husband to hang on to our season tickets through the 2026 season to get another chance at a World Series game at Wrigley Field. It doesn’t look like it will be in 2025.

In Chart 2, I compare a projected end date for the 2026 World Series of November 1 (Game 7 in Chicago?) against PCA’s natal horoscope. It reeks of success that brings huge monetary payoffs.

  1. The dotted lines show a grand trine—signifying great ease—from transiting Jupiter and Mars (over-the-top energy and success) to PCA’s natal Venus and Pluto. Jupiter and Mars also are opposite his natal Uranus and potentially conjunct the natal Moon. (I don’t have an exact birth time, but the Moon was between 16 Leo and 00 Virgo.) As a financial astrologer, connecting Jupiter (expansion), Venus (money), Pluto (power) and Uranus (unexpected) is always a signature that suggests over-the-top money that comes out of the blue. Like a new contract after a stellar post-season. (Jupiter’s exact trines to PCA’s Venus and Pluto will occur three times, starting in late September 2026 through mid-June 2027.)
  2. The Sun and Mercury in the sky are opposite PCA’s natal Mars and trine to his natal Jupiter. The Mars connection signifies a culmination of physical effort. The Jupiter trine says success is easy.
  3. (In green.) The third financial connection is that transiting Venus is opposite PCA’s natal Venus and trine his natal Uranus. Once again, money planet Venus suggests surprises in monetary rewards.

But Wait, There’s More

That same potential date for the 2026 World Series creates two—count ‘em, two—grand trines with the horoscope chart of when the Cubs played their first game on April 19, 1870. To see two grand trines by transit to any chart is highly unusual—and highly auspicious.

Chicago Cubs and World Series 2026

Chart 3

The solid triangle in Chart 3 is the grand trine from the transiting Sun and Mercury to the Cubs first-game Venus and Uranus. This grand trine also was in play when the Cubs won the 2016 fall classic on November 3 at 12:47 am in Cleveland.

The dotted-line triangle in Chart 3 is the grand trine from the transiting Mars and Jupiter that connects with the Cubs first-game Sun/Mars conjunction and its Moon/Saturn conjunction. In the 2016 Series, transiting Saturn, Moon and Venus were trine to the Cubs first-game Mars (sports), with transiting Uranus (surprise) conjunct that first-game Mars to the degree. (Thank you, 17-minute rain delay.) Also in 2026, transiting Venus opposes the first-game Sun/Mars for an added dose of fun.

It’s not often we Cubs fans get to witness the blossoming of a potential superstar. We think we’ve got one in Pete Crow-Armstrong. And, like I said, we’re hanging on to our season tickets for at least another year.
